Are We Alone in the Universe?
People used to believe that earth is flat. Then they started to believe earth is round. Then they were convinced earth is the centre of the universe. Later on it was the Sun that was the centre. All these ideas prove how deluded people can be. But people lack the information in those times. Only few enthusiastic pioneers were interested what Earth is and knew how to search answer to their questions. In nowadays we have much more information. Yet we still scratch the surface of the knowledge of our Universe but we know much more than 30 years ago. I am amazed why they are still people who believe we are the only thinking creatures in the Universe. For me it is out of question that we are not alone. ET life form exists and I am as sure of this as the Sun rises every day. Image credit to rarebeasts

Why We Always Need a Gift
Gifts are inseparable part of our culture. Ever since we are children we get used to receiving gifts. Attention and recognition are measured by gifts. This seems not the right direction to follow. Today I had received a nice gift - sun metal wall sculpture. I am pleased to have it and I will never give it back to the person who gave it to me but I am not certain if this gifts giving policy is a step into the right direction. Gifts are great to receive but we constantly exploit this idea of giving.
Gifts should be given only in very rare occasions. Gifts must be restrained, because the educate us being consumers ever wanting and expecting to receive. This brings us one step near to the greed and I believe humans must be educated not to be greedy materialists.

Were the Mammals to Be Blamed?
There is this theory that dinosaur had gone extinct because of the mammals. Mammals were more adaptive animals and they had managed to push the dinosaurs out of their place. I even remember some kind of picture showing small mammal eating the eggs of a huge dinosaur. I don’t think this is a serious theory. Dinosaurs must be extremely stupid to allow mammals playing with them. I believe it was a change of the environment that was the cause of dinosaurs’ extinction. This seems to me much more of a logical explanation. You can see in modern time they are interactions between species and highly evolved animals share place to live with other. If you had adapted to the environment, like sharks for instance, you never let others take your place. Sharks are really perfect example how evolution and adaptation are not always hand by hand. Animal with higher evolution is not always a winner in struggle for survival I think. Mammals may have eventually shrunk a little the kingdom of the dinosaurs but to make them extinct - this does not sound serious to me.Image credit to Ivan Walsh

Will My Sister Forgive Me?
I did something I was not supposed to do, but there was a good reason to do it, or at least good enough for me. It evolves my sister and I hope she won’t feel insult, or at least if she fells I hope to pass quickly when I explain to her everything. My sister has a metal dragonfly wall art in her room, a very sophisticated piece that even I like. I took it and I gave it as a gift to one girl. It is not because I like her it was because she was having a party and there it was this girl I am in love with. It was a short notice call. I got the opportunity to go on the party at the last moment and I cold not have gone there empty handed or with dull present. What they will think of me if I give something that it looks like last minute gift? It has to be something looking priced. It was worth it. I have seen my love and she was looking approvingly to the dragonfly. How else it should be, but now I face a problem. How to explain to my sister or at least how to make it up for her now?

Why Dreams Can Not Be Remembered
Why we can’t remember our dreams? Our brain works during this time. Usually you always keep a memory when you have your brain active. For sure brain does not sleep as our body does. Dreams are very intensive. I know this because I have my sleep interrupted and believe it is me who is participating in all the processes of dreaming. Why then we have no conscious memories about the time we spent dreaming? Dreaming is very important process. We spent at least a third of our lives doing it. And we can recall but just few scratches from the surface of our dreams. How it is possible that we have no or just very few faded memories from all this time?Image credit to ostromentsky
