How Spaniards Conquered South America

conquistador

Why Spaniards did conquer the Indians in South America? Doesn’t is seem strange and impossible that people who came with few ships only had managed to prevail over a thousands and even millions of people? And those were bloodthirsty people that had a story of numerous conflicts. Proud and fearsome warriors were conquered by a handful of Spaniards. I believe the secret of this invasion is hidden in the religion. The Indians in South America were conquered because of their religious beliefs. They thought Spanish are gods. Else I can not think of a reason how few hundred conquistadors can destroy an empire.
