Sun Use to Be the Greatest of All Gods

In pagan times Sun was praised by people all over the world. Sun gods were the most powerful in the pantheon of ancient deities. It is really a very powerful if you think about it. The human race has nothing as powerful as the Sun as neighbor in the Universe. It is our star – our most powerful anything around. I wanted to have sun metal wall sculpture in my room. I wanted it in the tradition of old pagan deities but seemingly I can not find such artifact on the market. I guess I will go wit a photo to some artisan to hand-make it.

Mountain Climbing

I have found the perfect hobby – mountain climbing. It is like tourism but better. Of course I do not climb different terrain since I am just a starter but I find it very refreshing and I am filled with energy each time I spent in the mountain. There is a great mystery and power in the nature and when you touch it you get from its power. Just the perfect occupation. If I had to choose what to do till the rest of my life I would choose to climb the mountains. Regrettably I had to go to work.

Tattoo Inspired by Wall Art

I have one sun metal wall art in my room. I have no idea who the author of this sculpture is but I like it very much. I like it so much that I even made a tattoo inspired by it. I have other tattoos also of course but I wanted this to be always with me and so I made it permanent on my skin. I believe this is the greatest admiration for the author. If I had a chance I want to meet him and shake his/hers hand. It is good, very good, perfect indeed.

Myth for Saving Fuel

Citroen al Fresco

If you stop air conditioning during summer you will spend less fuel i.e. you will be environmental friendly. Indeed air conditioning consumes fuel but if you stop the cold you will have to open windows else you won’t stay inside the car. When you open windows you interfere with the aerodynamics characteristics of the car i.e. you spend more fuel driving. So you are loosing your comfort and you save no fuel – why to stop air conditioning then. Better not – it is only a myth for saving. Of course it is a matter of personal choice what to do but for me there is no good reason to do so.

My Sister and Her Taste for Art

My sister has an eye for the art. She has all kind of objects in her house that with no doubt create unique atmosphere. I have no idea from where she gets all the stuff and I always forget to ask her about it. I am not such a follower of the “art” things opposite to her but I can appreciate the good taste when I see it. Today I had visit her and I saw a new nude metal wall hangings in her living room. It is a kind of bold statement but it looks stylish. I will never hang such thing on my wall but on hers it looks good.

Our Ancestors Were Ugly

Man

I have seen pictures of Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons and these people look ugly to me. Of course to be precise no one can take a picture of long extinct species but anyway scientists have created those images and I believe they are close to the reality. When I see such images I say – Bha what an ugly person. This is the truth and I don’t want to sugar coat it. I believe evolution made us look prettier and I am glad we had evolved. I can’t imagine if my wife has to look like someone from these pictures. Thanks God we are thousand of years ahead from those times.

The Power of the Lemon

Lemon
Lemon is most praised by me. It is the best fruits from all. Lemon juice can be put to add flavor to any kind of food. I use it in all my culinary attempts and it certainly has an effect. I drink lemonade almost every day. And lemon was my secret weapon against weight gain. You can even use it to polish. I am not kidding. I had metal birds artwork that was dark with stain and when I polished it with lemon juice it looks like new now. You can use lemon for everything. Lemon is just the best.

Are We Alone in the Universe?

People used to believe that earth is flat. Then they started to believe earth is round. Then they were convinced earth is the centre of the universe. Later on it was the Sun that was the centre. All these ideas prove how deluded people can be. But people lack the information in those times. Only few enthusiastic pioneers were interested what Earth is and knew how to search answer to their questions. In nowadays we have much more information. Yet we still scratch the surface of the knowledge of our Universe but we know much more than 30 years ago. I am amazed why they are still people who believe we are the only thinking creatures in the Universe. For me it is out of question that we are not alone. ET life form exists and I am as sure of this as the Sun rises every day.

Why We Always Need a Gift

Gifts are inseparable part of our culture. Ever since we are children we get used to receiving gifts. Attention and recognition are measured by gifts. This seems not the right direction to follow. Today I had received a nice gift - sun metal wall sculpture. I am pleased to have it and I will never give it back to the person who gave it to me but I am not certain if this gifts giving policy is a step into the right direction. Gifts are great to receive but we constantly exploit this idea of giving.

Gifts should be given only in very rare occasions. Gifts must be restrained, because the educate us being consumers ever wanting and expecting to receive. This brings us one step near to the greed and I believe humans must be educated not to be greedy materialists.

Were the Mammals to Be Blamed?

There is this theory that dinosaur had gone extinct because of the mammals. Mammals were more adaptive animals and they had managed to push the dinosaurs out of their place. I even remember some kind of picture showing small mammal eating the eggs of a huge dinosaur. I don’t think this is a serious theory. Dinosaurs must be extremely stupid to allow mammals playing with them. I believe it was a change of the environment that was the cause of dinosaurs’ extinction. This seems to me much more of a logical explanation. You can see in modern time they are interactions between species and highly evolved animals share place to live with other. If you had adapted to the environment, like sharks for instance, you never let others take your place. Sharks are really perfect example how evolution and adaptation are not always hand by hand. Animal with higher evolution is not always a winner in struggle for survival I think. Mammals may have eventually shrunk a little the kingdom of the dinosaurs but to make them extinct - this does not sound serious to me.

Will My Sister Forgive Me?

I did something I was not supposed to do, but there was a good reason to do it, or at least good enough for me. It evolves my sister and I hope she won’t feel insult, or at least if she fells I hope to pass quickly when I explain to her everything. My sister has a metal dragonfly wall art in her room, a very sophisticated piece that even I like. I took it and I gave it as a gift to one girl. It is not because I like her it was because she was having a party and there it was this girl I am in love with. It was a short notice call. I got the opportunity to go on the party at the last moment and I cold not have gone there empty handed or with dull present. What they will think of me if I give something that it looks like last minute gift? It has to be something looking priced. It was worth it. I have seen my love and she was looking approvingly to the dragonfly. How else it should be, but now I face a problem. How to explain to my sister or at least how to make it up for her now?

Why Dreams Can Not Be Remembered

Why we can’t remember our dreams? Our brain works during this time. Usually you always keep a memory when you have your brain active. For sure brain does not sleep as our body does. Dreams are very intensive. I know this because I have my sleep interrupted and believe it is me who is participating in all the processes of dreaming. Why then we have no conscious memories about the time we spent dreaming? Dreaming is very important process. We spent at least a third of our lives doing it. And we can recall but just few scratches from the surface of our dreams. How it is possible that we have no or just very few faded memories from all this time?

Computers Will Make Us Cripple

No one can imagine life in our modern society without computers. They are reliable, fast and can do things that thousands of people can not. They have won a place in our lives and no one can live without them anymore. They are virtually everywhere. But is this so good? Computers will cripple us. In the future people will spend more and more time sitting in front of them. People will think less and less – computers will do this for them. People will stop moving and having a decent activity, because everything can be done sitting in front of the monitor. Literally speaking computers will cripple us spiritually and physically. And what is worse we will willingly allow them to do that.

Moose Is Ugly

They are many ugly animals in the nature. They all have their purpose and are inseparable part of our biosphere which makes them very important, but not less ugly. Camels are ugly but moose is even uglier. For sure they are many more other animals which are uglier even than the moose but I speak about it now because I had seen a moose metal wall art. I never thought someone will make a sculpture of this animal. I suppose you seek beauty when you create art. Or maybe they are really people who find this animal pretty.

I Found the Perfect Piece

I have a new southwestern wall decor in the living room. I can not say how happy I am now. I have searched for the right piece for months. I was ready to make a compromises but suddenly … puff I saw it. And now it is mine. It just arrived and I had unpacked it half an hour ago. Now it proudly sits on the wall. The best ever – just for me and my living room. I am always happy when things fit. It is a small thing – just some insignificant decoration but in fact it is very important. Everything around me is in perfect harmony now.

Which Is the Most Popular Vegetable?

Carrots

Can you guess about the most popular vegetable in the world? I think for a second and “potato” popped out in my mind. But then I had a second thought and “carrot” was also there. Potatoes are used virtually everywhere not for food only. Maybe if we take into account this they are the most widely spread and popular vegetable. But carrots are also everywhere. My baby eats puree that has amongst other ingredients carrots. I use carrots for almost every soup or other dish that has vegetables inside. I f I think about it actually I use more carrots when I cook than potatoes. Maybe not everyone does as I do but still I am positive carrot at least rivals the first place if it is not the most popular in the world.

Where Is the Difference

I live in a relatively small apartment. I am just from recent here and I find the interior a bit boring. But the price is fair and location is good so here I am now. Anyway I decided to do something about decorations and yesterday I had started my internet quest for finding something appealing. Wall art seemed a good option to me since this would save me a space. I was browsing one internet store specialized in what I seek – metal (I like everything to be solid made from metal) wall art. In the categories there I happen to like in particular two of them - western metal wall art and southwestern metal wall art. But to be honest I can not tell the difference between those two categories. Everything seems to me the same theme. But anyway even if it is nagging me this is more of a minor issue. I think I had found suitable pieces there, the problem is that now I need to pick only one from all that I like.

How Logical Thinking Twists

The existence of libraries in our modern society is pretty disturbing. I find burrowed in this fact a tendency that proves how ignorant we are. And now I will use logic to prove it to you. You certainly have car, vacuum cleaner, barbeque and so on. These are very useful items and since you need them you have purchased them and you own them. So you purchase and own items to satisfy your needs. How many books you have in your house? Why you go to the library to have books? You go there because you have a need of certain knowledge and you can get it from there loaning temporarily a book. Now think about your barbeque. Do you use it every day? You have a certain need of a barbeque but not everyday. Why there is no a barbeque loaner the same way as book loaners exist? You prefer to by your own barbeque instead of just loaning one when you need it. Which is more important for you then – to have tasty steaks or to gain more knowledge? As it appears books are second hand commodity if you follow my logic here – a twisted saying but it seems logical to me.

I Want the Same Grilles

I was visiting an old medieval museum house and there I was fascinated by the wrought iron grilles they have in this old house. The unknown ancient artisan has made a very interesting and remarkable job creating them. I wanted to have such for my villa too. Sadly the curator did not allow me to make pictures. My intention was to take picture of these fascinating grilles and later on to give them to some skilled and adept artisan to make for me the same. My plan failed. Now I must rely only on my memory. This is one of the moments when I regret that I had not grown up to be one of these jack-of-all trades’ people.

Zodiacal Signs Are Not What You Think They Are

Antikythera zodiac

The zodiac signs are not what they are. If you look at the horoscope for your new day or for the year you must know that maybe you check it on someone else’s, because the constellations are not what they used to be. Two thousands years ago stars had a different locations on the sky. Signs have been determined in the past based on star’s locations but now they are different than before and for 200 years this may cause even a month difference. So if you think you know your constellation you better think do you really know it.

I May Have Spoiled My Child

My son needs to learn to be responsible. My husband earns good money and we do not have serious material problems in our family. Maybe because of this I had missed to teach my son to be responsible about his belongings. He always looses them as any other child would do but he is not concerned at all from this fact. I have spoiled him in this field I think. Yesterday I have given him a permission to take the western metal wall decor from our living room because he was going to have a school performance and he needed it as decorations for his group. Today he came back from school empty handed and when I asked him where are the decorations he took from home he said he does not know. This is frustrating. He thinks he must not take care because we can buy everything. This is wrong. I need to teach him not to behave like irresponsible person.

How Spaniards Conquered South America

conquistador

Why Spaniards did conquer the Indians in South America? Doesn’t is seem strange and impossible that people who came with few ships only had managed to prevail over a thousands and even millions of people? And those were bloodthirsty people that had a story of numerous conflicts. Proud and fearsome warriors were conquered by a handful of Spaniards. I believe the secret of this invasion is hidden in the religion. The Indians in South America were conquered because of their religious beliefs. They thought Spanish are gods. Else I can not think of a reason how few hundred conquistadors can destroy an empire.

Giving or Receiving

What you like more to give or to receive presents? I like them both, but I enjoy most when I give a present to someone. When I see something nice in the stores I always buy it. My husband sometimes makes me a remark I should not spend so much money, but this makes me happy. What are the money for if you can not use them to make you happy. And after all I don’t spend so much. Well, this week I am a bit out of the budget especially with the today’s wrought iron wall sculptures which I am going to send to my sister. But he will understand. After all to whom if not to my sister I am going to sent presents to?
